this is
my quick review of Sainsbury's modern
standard momentum espresso coffee beans
and yeah this was one that was kindly
sent to me by viewer Brian and he paid
around four pound fifty for this one I
remember him saying and let's take a
quick look at the pack so it warm great
taste in 2016
momentum especial seasonal especial
changing throughout the year to maintain
freshness and quality our cotton blend
is 70 percent of Brazil fazenda santa
lucia on 30 percent colombia guaca--
KO tasting notes are butterscotch milk
chocolate with a delicate citrus acidity
on the back caring about the core
sourcing and roasting what we do for you
we source the best coffees from around
the world and roast them in small
batches we work hard with our coffee
partners at origin and build up strong
relationships that results in great
tasting copies season after season once
opened we recommend sealing the bag and
placing it in an airtight container
methods of brewing there yeah here we go
so we have the batch number and the best
before days which is october 20 20 logs
did by zack and this was 227 grams the
side of the packet says ingredients this
bag contains hundreds and speciality
those the coffee contact information
there there we go on the other side take
a look at the other side
says we care about making great coffee
from source to the we blend our
experience on detail who had knowledge
of specialty roasting with efficient and
innovative production great coffee for
everyone that's the modern standard so
that is it for the pack a decent and
resealable and let's have on the top
there so decent packaging with this one
and it's the flat pack as well which
stuns nicely on the shelf so let's take
a look at the beans quite a light roast
and for it to be described as a espresso
or the aroma is chocolatey and I'm
picking up a strong peanut sort of hints
as well and the butterscotch mentioned
on the puck is quite prominent too it's
slightly woody but that's not a bad
thing maybe it's because it's a light
blog stardom picking that up actually
it's probably one of the lightest vlogs
have seen from a coffee before and my
grandeur seems to struggle a bit with
them as the beans are a bit more dense
mmm or harder than a dark roast oh yeah
really light roast coffee this one quick
look at the ground coffee and as you can
see it's a sort of orangey color to it
and when ground it's a bit more vibrance
it's very sweet with an almost play dog
hint to it I found it harder to sort of
distinguish between an individual sort
of aromas after there being ground it's
sort of all melded into one sort of
aroma with this coffee so taste wise
it's got that caramely butterscotch hint
it's really smooth with a hint of
acidity it's slightly chocolaty too
slight woody hints also but nothing too
pitov but the most interesting thing
about this coffee is the nice fruity
finish that Cudi's on into the
aftertaste so this is a coffee of two
halves you've got that sweet Fuji
caramel butterscotch hints at the start
and then the acidity kicks in and the
fruity aspect makes an appearance in the
second half of the drink it does remind
me a little bit of a the Starbucks
blonde our specials this coffee so I'll
give this one a three-point i'll give it
a 3.5 it's not one I would go out of my
way to sort of buy a game but it's worth
a try if you like a mild and smooth
coffee with no sharp edges and it's not
your typical dark espresso it's a decent
light roasted one as I say it's pretty
similar in a way to the Starbucks blonde
espressos
