This tutorial will guide you through the first use of your Nespresso Gran Lattissima machine,or after a long period of non-use. When unpacking the machine, remove the plastic film, water tank, drip tray, and capsule container. Rinse the water tank before filling with fresh drinking water up to maximum level. Switch the machine ON by pressing the on-standby button. If the coffee buttons’ lights are blinking, it means the machine is heating up. It will take approximatively 25 seconds. When the lights become steady, the machine is ready. The milk-based recipe buttons will be only blinking when the Rapid Cappucino System is connected to the machine. To rinse your machine, place a container under coffee outlet and press the lungo button. Repeat three times. To disassemble the Rapid Cappuccino System, you need to disassemble it first. Remove the milk container by pressing the buttons on the sides of the milk jug, and unplug the aspiration tube. Position the milk spout vertically to disassemble it. Turn of the Rapid Cappuccino System connector to the Unlock symbol, and extract it. Turn the milk froth regulator knob on the “Remove knob” position, and extract it. To clean the Rapid Cappuccino System, we recommend using the dishwasher. When a dishwasher is not available, the Rapid Cappuccino System components can be washed by hand.
Do not use abrasive material that might damage the surface of the equipment. Your machine is now ready to use.
